Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)

  • 1/4 cup Fingerlakes Honey Company honey (or more to taste)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1–2 tbsp milk or cream (optional, for consistency)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and fluffy.

  2. Add the cocoa powder, honey, vanilla, and salt. Beat until well combined and creamy.

  3. If the frosting is too thick, add milk or cream 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.

  4. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days. Let it soften before spreading if chilled.
