Dilly Bee Tuna Toppers
Perfect for a spring or summer gathering, these Dilly Bee Tuna Toppers are a bee-licious choice for your next gathering. Ingredients
1 (7 ounce) can Albacore Tuna
3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons celery, finely chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon Fingerlakes Honey Company Dried Dill
16 Ritz Crackers or crackers of your choice (rye would be great) (or use sliced cucumbers for a low card & gluten-free option)
2 green leaf lettuce leaves, torn
Fresh dill, for garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Place the tuna in a mixing bowl and mash up to the desired chunk size.
Add the mayonnaise, celery, onion, lemon pepper, and Fingerlakes Honey Company Dried Dill to the tuna mixture and stir until fully combined.
Place a piece of torn lettuce on each cracker (or cucumber slice) for a fresh base.
Spoon 1 tablespoon of the tuna salad onto each lettuce-topped cracker.
Garnish with a piece of fresh dill weed, if desired, for an added touch of elegance.
Serve immediately and enjoy these refreshing, bite-sized delights!
Note
Tuna can be made ahead of time and stored, covered, in the refrigerator.
