Ingredients
Cake
4 eggs
⅔ cup sugar
⅔ cup oil
1 cup Fingerlakes Honey Company honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
½ cup cocoa powder
2 cups flour
1 cup milk
Glaze (optional)
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 tablespoon Fingerlakes Honey Company honey
1 teaspoon milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan, then set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together the eggs, sugar, oil, honey, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until creamy and well combined.
Add the cocoa powder, half the flour, and half the milk. Mix until incorporated. Then, add the remaining flour and milk, and beat until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before adding the glaze.
To make the glaze, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, honey, milk, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
