📝Description:
There’s something magical about homemade focaccia—the way it rises into pillowy perfection, the signature dimples that hold pools of flavor, and that perfect balance of crisp edges and soft interior. This version gets a subtle upgrade with Fingerlakes Honey Company honey, adding just a hint of sweetness that pairs beautifully with the savory Italian bread dip mix. Whether you serve it as a side, sandwich base, or snack straight from the pan (no judgment here), this focaccia is one you’ll come back to again and again.

🍯Ingredients
1 ¾ cups warm water
2 teaspoons yeast
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon Fingerlakes Honey Company honey
Add:
3 cups all-purpose or bread flour
2 teaspoons salt
Topping:
Oil (for drizzling and pan)
Optional- Fingerlakes Honey Company honey or Sting Honey (mild, medium, or hot)
🥣Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together warm water, yeast, oil, and honey.
Add flour and salt, mixing until a cohesive but un-smooth mixture dough forms.
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
With wet hands, perform a set of stretch and folds (pulling dough from each side and folding over the center), going around the bowl.
Let rest another 15 minutes.
Repeat another set of stretch and folds.
Cover and let the dough rest for 1 hour.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and drizzle with oil.
Transfer the dough onto the oiled parchment.
Gently stretch to fit the pan, then fold into thirds.
Cover and let rest until the dough relaxes and spreads.
Finish stretching the dough to fill the pan if needed.
Preheat oven to 440°F.
Drizzle or spray the dough with oil.
Shake bag of Italian Bread Dip Mix and sprinkle the top with your desired amount.
Use your fingers to dimple the dough.
Bake for 15 minutes, until golden.
OPTIONAL: Drizzle with Fingerlakes Honey Company honey or Sting Honey before serving.
