MAIN DISH
Ingredients
4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1/2 cup Fingerlakes Honey Company Honey Cherry Jam
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Fingerlakes Honey Company dried thyme (or 1 tsp fresh)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Make the Glaze: In the same pan, reduce heat to medium-low and add Honey Cherry Jam, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and thyme. Stir and let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Glaze the Pork Chops: Return the pork chops to the pan, spooning the glaze over them. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, flipping once, until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and is coated in the sticky glaze.
Serve & Garnish: Transfer to a plate, drizzle with any extra glaze from the pan, and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve warm with your favorite sides!
