Ingredients
For the Tacos:
1 lb shredded beef (or pork, hamburger, turkey, chicken, shrimp, etc)
2 tbsp Fingerlakes Honey Company Fiesta Dip Mix (Mild or Spicy)
½ cup water
8 small taco shells (soft or hard)
1 cup shredded lettuce
½ cup diced tomatoes
½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
¼ cup sliced red onions (optional)
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
For the Honey Lime Drizzle:
2 tbsp Fingerlakes Honey Company honey
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
½ tsp lime zest
1 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt
½ tsp Fingerlakes Honey Company Bee's Knees Seasoning (optional)
1 tbsp warm water (to thin, if needed)
DIRECTIONS
Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the meat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
Season the Meat: Stir in the Fiesta Dip Mix and ½ cup of water. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
Make the Honey Lime Drizzle: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, lime zest, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), and Bee's Knees Seasoning. If the sauce is too thick, add a little warm water to thin it out.
Assemble the Tacos: Warm the taco shells, then fill each with the seasoned meat.
Top & Serve: Add lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, and cilantro. Drizzle the Honey Lime Sauce over the top and serve immediately.
