For the Meatballs
1 lb ground lamb (or substitute ground beef or turkey)
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon Fingerlakes Honey Company Dried Mint
1 tablespoon Fingerlakes Honey Company honey
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Olive oil, for cooking
For the Yogurt Sauce
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, grated
½ teaspoon Fingerlakes Honey Company Dried Mint
Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
Warm pita bread or rice
Fresh cucumber and tomato slices
Extra honey drizzle (optional)
🥣Directions
In a small bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, dried mint, salt, and pepper. Mix well and chill while preparing meatballs.
In a large bowl, combine lamb, egg, garlic, breadcrumbs, dried mint, honey, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined (don’t overmix).
Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10–12 minutes.
Serve meatballs warm with the yogurt sauce. Garnish with a sprinkle of dried mint or drizzle of honey. Serve alongside warm pita or rice and fresh veggies.

Make it lighter: Use ground turkey or chicken instead of lamb.
