🍯Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup Fingerlakes Honey Company Sting Honey (mild, medium. or hot)

  • ¼ cup bourbon (or apple juice/cider for non-alcoholic version)

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional — if you’re feeling extra spicy)

🥣Directions

  1. Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and just cooked through. Remove and keep warm.

  3. In the same pan, melt butter, then add garlic. Sauté about 30 seconds.

  4. Deglaze the pan with bourbon, scraping up any brown bits.

  5. Stir in sting honey, soy sauce, vinegar, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened into a glossy glaze.

  6. Return pork chops to the pan, spooning glaze over the top. Let them bubble together for 2 minutes until beautifully coated.

  7. Serve immediately with extra glaze drizzled over the top — maybe with roasted sweet potatoes or grilled corn to catch every drop.


Notes:

If you want the sauce extra sticky, let it simmer an extra minute, the honey will caramelize and cling like magic.
