❄️WHAT IS CRYSTALLIZATION?

Raw honey naturally crystallizes, and that’s a good thing! It’s a sign your honey is pure, unprocessed, and full of pollen, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals.

Crystallization happens as glucose and fructose bind and form tiny crystals. Temperature, humidity, and light influence the rate. Crystallized honey is safe and delicious, just thicker in texture. Use the warm-water-bath method to return it to liquid.

If crystallization occurs, gently re-liquefy it by placing the jar:

in warm sunshine, or

in a warm water bath (100°F) with the lid slightly cracked open

Your honey will return to smooth liquid form every time.

Do not microwave honey, as it destroys beneficial enzymes.

Is this real honey or flavored syrup?
This is 100% real, raw honey—never diluted, never blended with syrups. For our Sting Honey, we infuse our raw honey with dried hot peppers for natural heat and flavor.

How spicy is it really?
Heat levels vary by product:

Honey Bee Sting – Mild: Gentle warmth, approachable for most palates

Hornet Sting – Medium: Noticeable heat with balanced sweetness

Killer Bee Sting – Hot: Very spicy and not for the faint of heart

What peppers are used?
Our dried hot pepper blend may include poblano, jalapeño, chocolate jalapeño, habanero, ghost, scorpion, apocalypse, or Carolina reaper peppers. Blends vary slightly by batch to maintain consistent heat levels.

Does it contain preservatives or additives?
No. Our Sting Honey contains only raw honey and dried hot peppers—nothing artificial, no preservatives, and no fillers.

Why is the honey sometimes thicker or crystallized?
Crystallization is a natural process in raw honey and does not mean it has gone bad. Simply warm the jar gently in hot water to return it to a smooth consistency.

How long does Sting Honey last?
When stored properly at room temperature, Sting Honey has a long shelf life. Because it’s raw honey, it does not spoil.

Can I cook with Sting Honey or should I only drizzle it?
Both! Sting Honey works beautifully in cooking, baking, marinades, sauces, glazes, cocktails, and drizzles. Add heat at the end of cooking for maximum flavor.

Is each jar the same?
Because we handcraft our Sting Honey in small batches, minor variations in color, heat, or flavor can occur. That’s the beauty of real, small-batch food.

Our Sting Honey is handcrafted in the Finger Lakes region of New York using honey from our own bees.

Q: Can children eat Sting Honey?
